Boris Johnson has “no idea” who could be leaking all of the startling allegations against his potential successor, Rishi Sunak.

The statement comes after a torrid week for the chancellor of the exchequer. The tax arrangements of Rishi’s billionaire wife were laid bare before it was also revealed that Sunak has a U.S. green card.

“The idea that our chancellor’s wife is a tax dodger is one thing – but the thought that he’s willingly become American is a step too far,” one voter told us.

But, despite the controversies, Prime Minister Boris Johnson says that he is standing by Rishi Sunak.

“We have no idea who could be leaking all these awful allegations against my potential successor; we’ll get to the bottom of it though.

“I stand behind Rishi one hundred per cent,” said Johnson, while sharpening his knife.
