Rockstar Games has announced that the hotly anticipated “Grand Theft Auto 6” will be released on the PlayStation 7, the Xbox 69 and the Nintendo Jam.
It’s been almost a decade since the release of “Grand Theft Auto 5” and gamers have been clamouring for the next instalment in the popular series.
“As fun as it’s been to play “GTA 5” on three generations of consoles, I can’t wait for the sixth instalment,” said Rip Anderson, a gamer from Texas.
Rockstar Games has yet to release a trailer for “GTA 6” as it’s still in the “pre-idea stage” but they did release a picture with the words “GTA 6” on it, which seems to have gamers suitably excited.
However, given that the PlayStation 7, Xbox 69 and Nintendo Jam are presumably at least another two generations of consoles away, gamers could still have a long wait on their hands.
Given the average console life-cycle, “GTA 6” is expected to be released in 2032, roughly two years before the end of the world as we know it.
“I just hope they don’t have to push back the release date,” said Rip.
