Novak Djokovic has been dumped out of the Australian Open in the first round after displaying some of the worst shot selection of his career.
Fans were left stunned after the tournament favourite was knocked out in the first round by AB Force in a five-set thriller.
It seemed like Djokovic might get away with his poor shot selection until AB Force rallied in the final set and sent Novak packing.
While many were critical of Djokovic’s performance, the Serbian maestro defended the way he played to the media.
“You say it was poor shot selection but I only missed two shots. That’s really not so bad,” he said.
Djokovic will now be forced to take the next flight home from Australia, much to the relief of most of the nation.
