The new lead singer of The Killers is insisting that nobody told him that a young woman he’s been flirting with already had a boyfriend, despite evidence to the contrary.

American rock band The Killers have replaced lead singer Brandon Flowers with a British vocalist, although the switch has been rife with confusion.

“Brandon Flowers was a great lead man so I don’t why they replaced him – and I definitely don’t know why they replaced him with a bushy-haired, lumpy-looking middle-aged man who can’t sing,” said one disappointed fan.

And the new lead singer is already causing friction in the band after he was caught flirting with the bass players girlfriend.

“Nobody told me that she had a boyfriend. Also, I was only flirting with her in a very limited and specific way,” he insisted.

The singer, known as Mr Shiteside, said he was picked to be the new vocalist because of his experience being surrounded by killers.
