Harry Kane says he will continue to play like he’s self-isolating despite the fact he hasn’t got COVID-19.
The England frontman has kept at least six feet away from the action at all times during the Euro 2020/1 tournament and promises that he won’t change his style of play.
‘I think that, as a footballer, my real job is actually to set a good example. The sport is secondary to the impact I have on the world around me.
‘By staying at least six feet away from the ball I’m setting a great example to everyone on how they should be self-isolating right now.
‘I’d wear a mask too but I can’t find one that fits over my chin,’ Kane told the press.
Thanks to results in Group B and C, England have already qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament – meaning today’s game against the Czech Republic doesn’t matter. Not that it did beforehand anyway.
