An IVF baby has been left in the test tube for too long, resulting in it being permanently stuck in the tube.
Oldfield Hospital has apologised to two new parents after medical staff forgot to fish their baby out of the test tube in time.
‘An apology is nice but it won’t get my baby out of that tube now, will it? What sort of life is he going to lead?’ fumed angry mother Kimberley Kilberry, 28.
The mistake has been blamed on the hospital’s alert system going down, meaning the baby was left in the tube over a vital growth period.
Experts believe that the baby may now grow to suit his environment, much like a fish.
‘We could soon be looking at the tallest and slimmest human in history,’ Dr Spatchcock told us.
