The Daily Mail is calling for a compulsory display of racism before all football matches for the sake of balance.

With football players taking the knee to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement, the Daily Mail believes it is only fair that players should also perform a racist gesture before each game.

‘It’s about balance in the sport,’ Daily Mail journalist Ivor Smolcock wrote. ‘Every time they take the knee and the fans boo, they should also perform a racist gesture so that the fans can cheer. It’s important to show both sides of the argument.’

The Daily Mail believes that players should be allowed to choose which racist gesture they perform, although they do have one particular favourite.

‘We’re big fans of the Nazi salute. All our journalists perform it before they start writing. It puts them in the mood for a day of spewing vile hatred and nonsense,’ said the editor.

Getting the footballers on board may prove to be difficult but England fans have already shown their support for the proposal.
