A dad with a fever caused by Covid-19 has revealed that he’s just happy to have an excuse to turn the heating down.

Simon Ferry, 44, tested positive for Covid two days ago and has been experiencing many of the typical symptoms – including a low-grade fever.

But, ever eager to look on the bright side, Simon has found a positive in the situation beyond his Covid test.

“The heating has been turned right down and no one else in the family can complain about it, because I’m ill.

“Just think about how much money I’m saving right now. I never want this to end,” Simon said, before almost hacking up a lung.

The Ferry family are doing their best to keep warm by wearing plenty of layers and strapping hot water bottles to themselves.

“Hopefully they get used to it and it becomes a way of life,” Simon told us.
