A couple has been left stunned after getting pregnant even though they put a condom on a banana before they had sex, in accordance with all their sex education knowledge.

The news has come as a major shock to Vicky Bate and her partner Harlan Mack, as they claim they use protection every time they copulate.

“One of us will always put a condom on a banana before we have sex, just like we learned in sex education classes. Then we leave it on the nightstand, where it watches over us and keeps us safe. I can’t believe it failed us like this,” said Harlan.

Vicky discovered she was pregnant just yesterday after a store-bought pregnancy test turned negative.

“We don’t want a baby, so a negative result must mean I’m pregnant,” she reasoned.

Vicky and Harlan are now considering suing the makers of bananas for the perceived failure.
