A couple has officially given on finding anyone better after they announced their engagement earlier today.

Sam Mahon and Kelly Shea have both given up on finding anyone better to share their lives with after eighteen months of dating.

‘Is there someone out there that’d be better for me? Almost certainly, but it’d take no small amount of effort to find them and cultivate a relationship. This will do,’ Sam told us.

And Kelly agreed: ‘I think I might love Sam and that’s good enough for me. Sometimes you just can’t be too fussy.’

Sam and Kelly will now plan a financial disaster of a wedding that will put a significant amount of strain on their bank accounts and relationship.

‘Are we ready for this? All I know is my heart says “maybe”,’ Sam confirmed.
