As news broke that Kim Sears, wife of Andy Murray, gave birth to the couples’ first child, further news quickly followed that the baby girl already has more bottle than her father.
Andy Murray, who is currently deemed Scottish after his latest Australian Open final defeat to Novak Djokovic (which is almost an annual tradition equal to Hogmanay at this point), is said to be over the moon at the arrival of his daughter. The baby was declared “out” by the midwife late on Sunday.
The news wasn’t all happy for Andy though as the tennis star admitted that his daughter already has more bottle that he does.
‘She’s been feeding really well, taking every chance she can get. Breast or bottle, she’s been drinking it.’
Murray, who has lost seven major finals, is relieved that his daughter is handling the pressure of life better than he has been handling the pressure of facing Djokovic.
‘Fatherhood is no game, but if it was I’d be happy to stay on love point forever,’ said Andy.
William Hill has already given 20/1 odds of the baby girl Murray to win Wimbledon.
